The Feast Day of Saints Peter and Paul is celebrated on June 29th.
St. Peter is referred to as the Prince of the Apostles and the Vicar of Christ on earth, the visible Head of the Church.
Jesus Christ said, “You are Peter (the rock), and on this rock I will build my Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Mt. 16:18)
St Paul, known as Saul before his conversion, persecuted the Church. But through the direct intervention of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, Paul converted to Christianity and became a leading champion of the Gospel.
